How to Donate

All donations must be approved by a staff member. Acceptance of donations may depend upon current inventory and space considerations. To confirm whether we can accept a donation, please:

Drop-off donations are accepted at the ReStore Monday - Saturday between 10:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Click here for a map of our store location.

To schedule a pick up of donations, please call the ReStore at 970-382-9931. Please ensure any donations are located outside of the home at ground level or in a garage/covered area prior to pick up. Staff is generally unable to remove donations from inside homes or businesses. If items must be picked up inside, please ensure they are as near to the front door as possible with a clear path to the exit.

A receipt acknowledging your donation will be provided at the time of your donation. Store restrictions and legal obligations do not allow us to place a value on your donated items. Your donation is tax-deductible. Please consult your tax professional for details.

  • Electric appliances in good condition

    Only appliances 6-years-old or newer

    If you have owner’s manuals, include with donation

    Televisions - only flat screens with stands, cords, and remotes from a reputable brand valued by staff over $250

    Vacuums - only Sharp or Dyson brand

    No wall mount televisions

    No gas appliances

    No broken appliances

    No used toaster ovens

    No electronic devices (stereos, printers, PCs, etc)

    No air conditioners, space heaters, humidifiers

    No wall ovens, stove tops

  • Must have doors, shelves, etc

    No water, mildew, or mold damage

    No missing drawers, parts, shelving, etc

    No nails

  • Must be in good condition

    Only standard size

    Limited hollow core and bi-fold doors

    No custom or oversized

    No holes, cracks, rotting, mold, rodent drops, etc

  • New carpet only (may include laid down and taken out of the home prior to living on it)

    Tile - 200 sq. ft. minimum (about 4 boxes)

    T&G - 200 sq. ft. minimum

    No padding that has been used or glued down

    No used tile

  • In resalable condition with no rips, stains, or pet damage

    Headboards must include all pieces/parts

    Limited twin size bedframes

    Limited oversized desks/office furniture

    No booth-style benches

    No mattresses/box springs

    No particle board furniture

    No cribs, playpens, car seats, highchairs

  • Hardware for doors, cabinets, etc.

    Only accept brushed nickel finish with all parts

    Keyed hardware must have the key

    No electrical cords or outlets

  • Light fixtures with brushed nickel or black finish

    Only new, never installed ceiling fans

    No light bulbs or switches

    No fluorescent lighting fixtures, bulbs

    No baluster or track lighting

    No dome mounts

  • Full and 1/2 sheets of plywood

    Full lengths of lumber

    Trim no less than 4 feet long

    No weathered lumber

    No treated lumber

    No nails sticking out of lumber

  • Sinks - clean, in good condition, 30 total

    Toilets - only white, in working condition, 1.5 gallon efficiency, no mold, mildew, or ring, 5 total

    Dishes/utensils - only antiques, large quality sets or sterling silver

    No used jacuzzi tubs or hot tubs

    No water heaters

    No used filtration systems

    No trash compactors

    No little plumbing fixtures or attachments

  • We accept 4′ and over of any type of pipe, and all supplies and fittings.

    PVC pipe may not be sun rotted.

  • Standard size, double pane windows of all types if the glass is intact.

    If casement type, please include any hardware and cranks in donation.

    No blinds

    No windows over standard size (max 5' x 6') unless brand new

  • All hand and power tools in good condition

    Can only accept a max number per category

    No tools or electrical equipment with broken cords

  • All types of roofing material such as rolled roofing material, tar and bundles of new shingles

    No ceiling tile (unless metal)

  • No picture frames, mirrors, sheets of glass

    No unsigned art pieces

    No pianos, organs

    No treadmills or oversized exercise equipment

    No fireplaces, pellet stoves

    No linens, clothing

    No suitcases

    No office supplies

    No electrical wires

    No stickers

    No hazardous materials, liquid chemicals, fertilizer, paint, cleaners, caulk, glue, grout, staining, etc. unless unopened and brand new

    Nothing broken, moldy, missing parts or pieces
